We are thrilled to announce that Open for Inspections for residential properties can resume from the 30th October for those who are fully vaccinated in accordance with the Victorian Government regulations.

Should you be unvaccinated or do not wish to disclose your vaccination status, please contact us to organise a private inspection.

Outdoor auctions are also permitted for up to 50 fully vaccinated people in line with Victorian Government regulations.

When attending an Inspection or Auction, we ask you to observe our inspection policy:

  • Register with the Government QR code and show your vaccination certificate.
  • Wear a fitted face mask that covers your nose and mouth when indoors.
  • Please refrain from touching surfaces within the property.
  • Maintain a comfortable distance (at least 1.5m) from the Abercromby's sales agent and other attendees.

Following the announcement from our Premier today, we are thrilled to announce that private inspections for residential properties can resume across Melbourne as of midnight 17th September.

When attending a private inspection, we ask you to observe our inspection policy:

  • Register with the Government QR code.
  • You must wear a fitted face mask that covers your nose and mouth when indoors and outdoors.
  • Apply hand sanitiser, which will be available for your use.
  • Please refrain from touching surfaces within the property.
  • Maintain a comfortable distance (at least 1.5m) from the Abercromby's sales agent.
  • We ask that you refrain from attending the property if you are feeling unwell or have recently been in contact with someone diagnosed with Covid-19.

In line with today's announcement by the Premier, lockdown restrictions will lift from midnight tonight. Abercromby’s office will be open from Wednesday 28th July and we are very pleased to advise that Inspections, Auctions, and Property Appraisals can now resume. Here's what you need to know:

Inspections are permitted in the form of a private appointment, with a maximum of 10 people, subject to density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm.

Auctions are permitted with a maximum patron cap of 100 people indoors or outdoors.

When attending an Auction or Appointment, we ask you to observe the following:

  • Register with the Government QR code.
  • You must wear a fitted face mask that covers your nose and mouth when indoors and outdoors.
  • Apply hand sanitiser, which will be available for your use.
  • Please refrain from touching surfaces within the property.
  • Maintain a comfortable distance (at least 1.5m) from the Abercromby's sales agent and other attendees.
  • We ask that you refrain from attending the property if you are feeling unwell or have recently been in contact with someone diagnosed with Covid-19.

How long have you been with Abercromby's and what do you do there?

I have been at Abercromby’s for just over five months and I work on reception as an admin assistant.

Favourite quote? “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow”

Your favourite food or restaurant? My favourite food would either be Japanese or Italian, don’t think I can choose just one I’m a big foodie 😊

What do you like about working at Abercromby’s? It’s such a nice and positive team environment to be in and you can tell everyone values the people they work with.

What sport do you follow and Who is your team? I don’t actually follow any sport’s (not very Aussie like I know), but I’m very much into my yoga.

What is one fact about you that makes you unique? A stand out would be that I’ve lived in over 20 different towns/cities, which has very much brought on my high interest and curiosity in property.

What is the best thing that has happened to you in the last year? I would have to say being offered this role at Abercromby’s, especially with the way things have gone over the past 12ish months. I consider myself very lucky to be given this opportunity in such a great company and I’m excited to see where it takes me.

What was your dream job when you were younger? I likely wanted to be the next Britney Spears or Spice girl, Famous and living the high life. As I’ve gotten older I couldn’t think of anything worse though haha.

A further relaxation on restrictions has been announced for Melbourne effective 11:59pm Thursday 8th July 2021. Inspections and Auctions can now be conducted with 1 person per 2 sqm where a COVID Marshal is in place and 1 person per 4 sqm in other cases.

When attending an inspection or appointment, we ask you to observe the following:

  • Register with the Government QR code.
  • You must wear a fitted face mask that covers your nose and mouth when indoors
  • Apply hand sanitiser, which will be available for your use.
  • Please refrain from touching surfaces within the property.
  • Maintain a comfortable distance (at least 1.5m) from the Abercromby's sales agent and other attendees.
  • We ask that you refrain from attending the property if you are feeling unwell or have recently been in contact with someone diagnosed with Covid-19.

Late last night the Premier announced a return to the face mask requirements. These new restrictions came into effect at 11:59pm 3rd February 2021.

  • Please refrain from touching surfaces within the property.

From 11:59pm on Sunday 8 November 2020 Third Step restrictions apply across Victoria.

There are no restrictions on travel between metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. You can travel more than 25km.

Private inspections can have up to 10 members of the public, with the appropriate safeguards and record keeping requirements as recommended by health authorities.

When attending a private inspection, we ask you to observe our inspection policy:

  • You must wear a fitted face mask that covers your nose and mouth during the inspection.
  • Refrain from physical greetings.

  • Maintain a comfortable distance (at least 1.5m) from the Abercromby's sales agent.

  • Please refrain from touching surfaces within the property.

Following the announcement from our Premier yesterday, we are thrilled to announce that private inspections for residential properties can resume in Metropolitan Melbourne!

Purchasers and Tenants can now travel outside their 5km radius to attend a Private Inspection (apart from regional Victoria).

When attending a private inspection, we ask you to observe our inspection policy:

  • A limit of only one attendee is allowed at each inspection (attendees may be accompanied by a partner or housemate and children under 18 years of age)
  • Inspections are limited to 15-minutes.
  • Face masks must be worn during the inspection.
  • Refrain from physical greetings.
  • Please refrain from touching surfaces within the property.
  • Maintain a comfortable distance (at least 1.5m) from the Abercromby's sales agent.

We ask that you refrain from attending the property inspection if you are feeling unwell or have recently been in contact with someone diagnosed with Covid-19.

Mandatory Face Masks in Melbourne

Following the latest Government announcement, effective 11:59 pm on Wednesday 22nd July 2020 there is now a requirement to wear a face mask for people out in public in Metro Melbourne or Mitchell Shire.

If you are attending an Abercromby's appointment or one-on-one property inspection, please be sure to wear your face mask to protect the health and safety of our staff and our community.
